Simply put, I decided to run for office because we need a serious change in leadership.
I’ve seen it all in my 53 years in our great state of Alabama, and these experiences have helped me understand the needs of working-class families. My mother, a teacher for more than 40 years, raised me alone after the sacrifice of my father, a Gold Star hero who died serving our country in the Vietnam War. From my Alabama heritage, my parents, and my military service, I developed a great passion for teachers, my fellow veterans, and the families of the fallen. As a United States Navy veteran, a former quarterback, a steelworker, a carpenter, a home contractor, a singer/songwriter, husband to wife Lianna, and stay-at-home dad, I know about defending our freedoms, facing big hitters, bringing people together, and fighting for families who need help the most.
